You Love Me! You Really Love Me!

Today I received a lovely card in the mail.. It read:
I love you..... BIG TIME!
:) And guess who it was from!
Drumroll, please.......
My nanna :)
Alright, I know it sounds cheesey, but it really meant a lot to me.
I guess I should add that it's my grandma on my dad's side of the family. In the past, I haven't really been close to them.. I'm glad that I am getting a chance to grow closer, though.
So in a few days, my nanna will be receiving a card saying:
I love you.... WAAAAAAAY MORE!
And I guess it shall continue from there! ;)

Bleeding

I love. And that is all I do
Passionately I press all of my love into everything that I do.
Forcing my giant love into small spaces where I know it will not fit.
But even so, I love.
And as the love I have pushed and forced into those holes seep out onto the floor as if it were nothing but water, I bleed.
That's my love that you rejected, my love that you neglected and failed to realize even existed
And now my eyes have misted because I forced my love into places that it did not belong or should never have dwelled.
Because I failed to preserve the love onto which I should've held
Tight
But I figured that I just might get a little love back this time.
But instead, I bled.

TEXTS YOU Everyday

I just received a forward text message from a friend.
I usually just take the time to read like the first line, then close the text.
Because who has time for that right? ... Unless it's something really inspirational or something.
But anyway, back to the forward!
It was one of those flashy ones that comes with a picture and all that.
I always at least look at those.
But I am so hung up on the very first two lines of the text.
They read:
"The perfect guy will:
*Text you everyday....."
Can you believe that?! That is the EXACT reason I do not have a boyfriend right now; people nowadays think it's enough to just text.
My last ex thought that was enough. We had a summer relationship and he had just moved to Missouri.
It wasn't that far, but seeing as neither of us had our driver's license yet, we should've been in constant communication if it was gonna work out, right?
I mean, not constant, but ya know? If we liked each other as much as we said we did, we would've wanted something like that.
Anyway.. I just though I would broadcast the twisted minds of this world..
Because, to me, texting is NOT enough... AT ALL.
